Job summary

Foundational is an early-stage startup solving real-time Earth and orbit understanding using ground-based lasers. We build a SaaS platform with robust frontend and backend systems, leveraging React, FastAPI, MongoDB and modern AWS cloud services.

You will join as an early team member, owning significant development work across frontend, backend, and DevOps, with opportunities to influence product and culture in a fast-paced spacetech environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with a strong portfolio in frontend and backend.
• Solid understanding of DevOps and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end (Node.js, FastAPI).
• Experience with MongoDB and MySQL databases.
• Familiarity with API design and serverless tech (AWS ECS/API Gateway/Lambda).

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and deploying scalable SaaS applications.
• Building and maintaining frontend and backend of core product.
• Implementing DevOps practices for CI/CD via Gitlab.
• Collaborating with product team to translate requirements into features.
• Writing clean, well-documented code and best practices.
• Troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform reliability.
• Staying up-to-date with web dev, DevOps, and space industry trends.
• Growing with the team and contributing across development scope.
