Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage conceptual and FEED-level studies for oil & gas topsides and supporting facilities.
  • Coordinate and direct multidisciplinary study teams (process, mechanical, electrical, safety, etc.).
  • Develop study execution plans, schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
  • Prepare and validate cost estimates at conceptual and FEED levels, ensuring alignment with technical scope and client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, and progress.
  • Provide technical guidance, leveraging process engineering expertise to ensure robust and feasible study outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective management of uncertainties during study phases.
  • Manage reporting, presentations, and study close-out deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration across NOV business units to integrate technology, innovation, and client-focused solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and promote professional development within the study team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 10–20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with a strong foundation in process engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management or engineering management, ideally within conceptual or FEED studies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing conceptual and early-phase cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage clients and present complex information clearly.
  • Solid understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent studies.
Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent — relevant project management experience can substitute for formal certification.
  • Experience with offshore facilities, FPSOs, or large onshore processing plants.
  • Familiarity with business case development, techno-economic evaluations, and risk-based decision-making.
  • Track record of client-facing roles with responsibility for study execution and delivery.
