I denne rollen får du ansvar for service, oppgraderinger og vedlikehold av software og hardware på subsea-/offshorekraner, vinsjer og annet hivkompensert utstyr på skip/fartøy.
Stillingen er en reisende stilling. Du vil delta på prosjekter og serviceoppdrag av ulik størrelse og varighet verden over, enten som del av et team eller selvstendig, der du bidrar til at systemene fungerer sikkert og effektivt.

• Utføre testing, feilsøking, reparasjon, samt utarbeide servicerapporter
• Følge opp fremdrift og rapportere status og resultater fra prosjekter
• Ansvarlig for oppstart, kalibrering og tuning
• Bidra i utviklingsarbeid og tekniske forbedringsprosesser
• Bidra til at alt arbeid gjennomføres på en sikker og trygg måte iht. krav og forventning av kunde, arbeidsgiver og kollegaer

Den rette kandidaten har teknisk bakgrunn og erfaring med PLS og andre kontrollsystemer, gjerne fra maritim eller offshore industri.

Videre har du:

• Utdanning innen automasjon, mekatronikk eller tilsvarende
• Erfaring med industrielle kontrollsystemer for offshore-kraner, gjerne Siemens SIMATIC S7 og/eller BODAC
• Kjennskap til maritimt regelverk og klasseselskaper
• Erfaring innen mekanikk, hydraulikk eller elektro er en fordel

Future Services AS provides service and maintenance to the maritime, offshore, and renewable industries, with a particular focus on cranes and heave-compensated equipment on vessels. We are experiencing increasing international demand and are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to strengthen our global service department. Could this be you?

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, upgrades, and maintenance of both software and hardware on subsea/offshore cranes, winches, and other heave-compensated systems on vessels.
This is a travel-based position, and you will take part in projects and service assignments of varying size and duration around the world. Assignments may be performed independently or as part of a team, and your goal will be to ensure safe and efficient operation of the systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing testing, troubleshooting, and repairs, and preparing detailed service reports
• Monitoring project progress and reporting on status and results
• Responsible for system start-up, calibration, and tuning
• Participating in development work and technical improvement processes
• Ensuring all work is performed safely and in line with the expectations of the customer, employer, and your colleagues

Who We’re Looking For

You have a technical background and experience with PLCs and other control systems, preferably within the maritime or offshore industry.

In addition, you have:

• Education in automation, mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Experience with industrial control systems for offshore cranes – ideally Siemens SIMATIC S7 and/or BODAC
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and classification societies
• Experience with mechanics, hydraulics, or electrical systems is an advantage
