Job summary

Nodes & Links is seeking a senior FP&A professional to own the Group budget, long-term planning, and forecasting. You will build and maintain a driver-based three-statement model, produce monthly performance reports, and support Board and investor reporting with the Finance Director.

You will bridge finance and sales, ensure Salesforce alignment with ARR, and drive cross-functional budgeting with department heads while championing process improvements and AI-enabled analytics.

Qualifications

• Substantial FP&A experience and ability to build a driver-based, three-statement model from scratch.
• Experience owning a full budget cycle with department heads, including challenging discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own the Group budget, reforecasts and long-term plan, challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy.
• Build and maintain the Group's three-statement financial model (P/L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Produce monthly Group performance reporting (actuals vs. budget, KPIs, cash flow).
• Support Board pack and investor reporting with the Finance Director.
• Bridge between finance and sales, reconciling Salesforce data to reported ARR.
• Walk through variances with department heads and explain drivers.
• Provide scenario analysis and commercial modelling for strategic decisions.
• Keep financial reporting accurate and consistent with Group Finance Manager.
• Drive FP&A and reporting process improvements and automation.

What will you do in the role?

We're looking for someone who owns the model, challenges it, and turns it into the tool the leadership team uses to make decisions.

We're growing quickly, and this is the first dedicated FP&A hire in the business. You'll shape the function rather than inherit it.

• Own the Group budget, reforecasts and long-term plan, challenging assumptions and improving forecast accuracy over time.
• Build and maintain the Group's three-statement financial model covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Produce monthly Group performance reporting: actuals against budget, KPIs and cash flow.
• Support the preparation of the Board pack and investor reporting with the Finance Director.
• Act as the bridge between finance and sales, making sure Salesforce data reconciles to the company's reported ARR.
• Partner with department heads to walk through their variances, explain what's driving performance and hold budgets to account.
• Provide scenario analysis and commercial modelling to support strategic decisions.
• Work closely with the Finance Director and Group Finance Manager to keep financial reporting accurate and consistent.
• Drive process improvement and automation across FP&A and reporting.

Who you are

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or equivalent
• Substantial FP&A experience, including building a three-statement, driver-based model from scratch, not just maintaining one someone else built.
• Experience owning a full budget cycle with department heads, including challenging conversations.
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
• Strong on cash flow and the KPIs that drive a business.
• The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and give clear commercial insight.
• Comfortable working in a group structure with multiple currencies.
• Embrace the use of AI.

We would love if you have

• SaaS experience and fluency in subscription metrics (ARR, churn, net revenue retention).
• Experience at Series B or similar scale, where the model has to be built rather than inherited.
• Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM data.
