Job summary

Sony Europe is seeking a Firmware Design Intern to help design and develop firmware for CMOS image sensors. You will work on embedded firmware for ASIC devices, writing low-level C for ARM CPUs, and contribute across a multi‑disciplinary imaging systems team in Lysaker, near Oslo.

The role involves documenting specifications, implementing firmware, and collaborating with teams in Japan and Europe to deliver on time. This is a Summer 2027 internship with hands‑on responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ongoing study of Electrical Engineering or Computer/Software Engineering.
• Academic background in Electronics or Software.
• Fluent English required for collaboration with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing firmware for CMOS image sensors used in ADAS systems.
• Development and verification of hard real‑time firmware on CMOS sensors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver tasks on time.
