Job description

At InMind, we develop a world-leading robot brain that gives robots powerful learning capabilities and optimized performance. With this technology, robots can learn from their surroundings and adapt on the spot - without the need for manual programming.

We are now looking for a Financial Manager who can secure solid financial routines and contribute to investor-related work, while also supporting legal, administrative, and operational matters as InMind prepares for further growth.

Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Trondheim, InMind is a deep‑tech company with a strong R&D foundation and global ambitions. Our first prototype robot, DXT, is already starting to demonstrate how on‑the‑spot learning works, using AI, signal processing, and FPGA‑based systems.

We are a world‑class and highly skilled team working across robotics, machine learning, and hardware development. Our working style is practical and collaborative, with short decision paths and tight cooperation across disciplines.

As Financial Manager you will work closely with our CEO, Operations Manager, Commercial Manager and technical teams – becoming part of a hands‑on leadership group that combines strategic direction with operational drive.

Your impact as Financial Manager

Your mission is to further develop and run the financial backbone of InMind: ensure accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and establish solid routines that enable continued growth.

A key part of the role will be to support, and possibly lead, investor‑related work in close collaboration with the CEO. You will play a key role in ensuring the company stays investor‑ready, contributing financial insight, structure and documentation, and representing InMind with professionalism and credibility in dialogues with both existing and prospective investors.

Beyond finance, you will contribute where needed in areas such as legal, IT, administration or supplier follow‑up—helping to keep the company running smoothly as we move from advanced R&D to commercialization.

Your qualifications, background and experience

The most important thing you bring to InMind is hands‑on experience financial operations in a fast‑moving, ambitious company - ideally within a tech‑driven or international context. You are comfortable balancing strategic oversight with operational execution, and you know how to build sound structure in environments where much is still being shaped.

We know that no candidate will tick every box. The right person may come from different types of roles as long as you bring strong financial skills, a pragmatic mindset, and a readiness to take on a broad range of responsibilities.

Some of the following will most likely sound familiar to you:
  • You've worked with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal control
  • You’ve contributed to investor processes, due diligence or funding rounds, either directly or in a key supporting role.
  • You understand what it means to keep a company investor‑ready and can represent financials with credibility
  • You’ve taken part in building routines and structure from the ground up, often in companies where priorities shift fast
  • You’ve been exposed to areas like legal, IT‑security, procurement or administration, and are comfortable taking ownership beyond finance
  • You’re pragmatic and structured and know how to get things done with limited resources

You must be able to communicate with clarity and professionalism in English, both written and spoken, at a level that enables you to represent InMind in international investor meetings or financial discussions. Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You probably have higher education in business, finance, accounting or a similar field. While a solid financial background is essential, we are open to different profiles depending on your broader skill set and interests.

Who are you as a person?

You take responsibility seriously and follow through on what you commit to. You’re independent in your work, but understand when to align and collaborate. You know how to create order in complexity, and are confident working in a company where routines are still being developed.

You’re structured, without being rigid. You’re pragmatic, without cutting corners. You care about quality, and you know when “good enough” is good enough.

You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room, but you’re comfortable presenting numbers, plans or decisions with clarity and confidence, whether internally or externally.

Why join InMind?

This is a chance to take real responsibility in a company that’s still in the early stages, where a lot remains to be built, and your contribution will matter. You’ll work closely with a skilled and focused team and help shape how InMind moves from development to market.

We offer competitive terms, flexible working conditions, and a culture where responsibility is shared, and ideas are valued. Our offices are centrally located in Trondheim, with modern facilities and good amenities. Most importantly: you’ll be part of a small, ambitious environment where the path forward is not yet paved.

Sometimes in life, you just have to take a chance – perhaps this is yours?

Please send us your application today! We review and interview candidates on an ongoing basis, even before the formal application deadline. Don’t hesitate to reach out to our recruitment partners Trude Støren (+47 928 92 461) or Haavard Klemetsen (+47 467 49 848) if you have any questions.

Application deadline: Sunday November 23rd
