Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in Norway is seeking a Financial Controller, ST&CC, to lead statutory accounting, tax and company compliance for the local entity. The role partners with Wärtsilä Global Business Services and other functions to identify financial opportunities and risks.

The position is based in Rubbestadneset with a hybrid work option and requires strong IFRS knowledge and experience in statutory reporting and audits.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of statutory financial accounting.
• Experience with statutory reporting and company compliance.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage accuracy of the legal entity’s financial position per local law and Wärtsilä guidelines.
• Ensure high-quality statutory financial reporting and a true and fair view of financial position, risks and performance.
• Prepare local statutory adjustments, bridge calculations, financial reports and analyses.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and remediation of control findings.
• Support tax compliance activities with the Tax Centre of Excellence, including risk reporting and audits.
