Job summary

Talanto seeks an experienced data and analytics consultant to support governance, data product design, and enterprise-grade reporting in a Microsoft Fabric environment. The role requires close collaboration with architects, risk, compliance, finance, and IT stakeholders to model financial data and deliver scalable data products for reporting and automation.

The engagement is 6 months, on-site in Oslo, with capacity for 1 FTE.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of data modelling including scalable semantic models and reusable data products.
Experience with financial data domains such as market data, static data, transactional data, AML/KYC, positions, and accounting data.
End-to-end data engineering in a cloud-based modern data platform, preferably Microsoft Fabric.
Experience working in complex organisations with data, insights, reporting, and automation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of data governance including ownership, lineage, quality, access control, and auditability.

Responsibilities

Ingest data from external source systems into Microsoft Fabric using robust pipelines.
Design and implement transformations, curated data layers, and reusable data products for analytics and reporting.
Develop data quality tests, validation routines, and reconciliation controls across source and target data sets.
Document data lineage, dependencies, refresh logic, and ownership for Fabric solutions.
Model financial data domains and translate concepts into scalable semantic models and reporting structures.
Ensure consistent handling of identifiers, hierarchies, time dimensions, and source-system keys.
