Job summary

Olympus Corporation is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to plan and execute on-site maintenance of medical equipment across Norway. You will install, inspect, repair endoscopes and related devices, and provide hands-on training to customers while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires strong Norwegian and English communication, a valid Norway driving licence, and willingness to travel frequently.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in electronics and repair.
  • On-site hospital equipment experience is a solid advantage.
  • Experience with customer service/support.
  • Strong Norwegian and English communication (verbal and written).
  • Service-minded, flexible and structured work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Valid driving license in Norway.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily field service activities for hospitals and clinical environments in Norway.
  • Install, preventive maintenance, inspection and repairs of Olympus electrical medical equipment including lasers.
  • Close customer interaction and support to strengthen the partnership and increase satisfaction.
  • Product knowledge and quality assurance.
  • Training of customers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge sharing and improving transparency in the team.
  • Follow up on service agreements and implement Olympus' service concept.

  • Installation, preventive maintenance, inspection and repairs of Olympus electrical medical equipment, ranging from endoscopic equipment to other peripheral equipment like lasers
  • Close customer interaction and support to strengthen the partnership and increase satisfaction
  • Product knowledge and quality assurance
  • Training of customers and colleagues
  • Knowledge sharing and improving transparency in the team
  • Follow up on service agreements and implement Olympus' service concept

  • Proven experience in electronics and repair
  • Prior experience working on-site with hospital equipment is a solid advantage

  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both verbal and written, allowing you to effectively assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Service-minded, flexible and structured work ethics
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
  • Valid driving license in Norway is an essential requirement
