Field Service Engineer – Vanderlande Industries Nordic

Location: Based in Norway or Sweden (with travel across the Nordics)

What will you do?

As a Field Service Engineer, you are a key ambassador for Vanderlande Industries throughout the operational phase with our customers. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our automated systems in accordance with contractual agreements – in close collaboration with our clients.

You will be part of a Nordic team with colleagues in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, and travel to customer sites across the Nordics and occasionally internationally. Assignments vary in duration from a few days to several weeks.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on our material handling systems.
  • Preparing for customer visits by gathering project data and analyzing service history.
  • Providing thorough reporting after inspections and maintenance work.
  • Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to handle urgent system failures.
  • Supporting projects related to new installations or system expansions.
  • Ensuring high customer satisfaction and continuity in customer operations.
What are we looking for?
  • Vocational certificate in automation, electrical, or electromechanical (required).
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience as a service engineer or similar.
  • Solid understanding of electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, IPCs, and industrial communication systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • Experience in logistics, warehouse automation, postal/parcel or baggage handling systems is an advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class B).
  • Willingness to travel and work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong focus on HSE and safe work practices.
