Job summary

Venatu Technical Support is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers for a London-wide programme. You will travel to bus and coach depots across London to safely remove and replace heating and cooling system components, returning vehicles to service efficiently.

The role suits automotive, heavy vehicle or field service engineers seeking varied work, autonomy and the chance to work with leading operators.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with independent working style.
• Experience removing/replacing mechanical components on heavy vehicles.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across London.

Responsibilities

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical problems, and travelling to customer sites?

Venatu Technical Support (VTS) is looking for experienced Field Service Engineers to support a London wide programme working on buses and coaches. This role involves the removal and replacement of heating and cooling system components, ensuring vehicles are returned to service safely and efficiently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Travelling to bus and coach depots across London
• Carrying out the safe removal and replacement of mechanical components
• Following technical instructions and installation procedures
• Completing quality checks and associated paperwork
• Identifying and reporting technical issues
• Working closely with depot engineering teams and customers
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and workmanship

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Field Service Engineer, HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Vehicle Technician, Mechanical Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical skills and fault-finding ability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willingness to travel across London
• Experience working on buses, coaches, HGVs or other heavy vehicles
• Experience carrying out retrofit, campaign or component replacement work
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
• Experience with cooling systems, pumps or mechanical installations
