Job summary

SwiftMove Logistics is seeking a Facade Engineer in Svalbard to design, analyze, and oversee facade construction under extreme weather conditions.

You will work with architects, contractors and engineers to develop cost-effective, sustainable facade solutions while ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. This full-time role provides accommodation and the opportunity to lead facade projects in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facade engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of building codes, structural analysis software, and AutoCAD.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of building facades to determine load-bearing capacity and weaknesses.
• Design cost-effective facade solutions that meet client requirements and codes.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and engineers for integrated facade design.
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications for construction teams.
• Oversee facade construction progress to ensure design adherence.
• Perform on-site inspections to identify issues or risks.

As a Facade Engineer in Svalbard you will be responsible for designing analyzing and overseeing the construction of building facades Your expertise in materials structural engineering principles and building codes will ensure the safety and functionality of facades in extreme weather conditions You will work closely with architects contractors and other engineers to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions that meet client requirements You must have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present your designs to clients

Requirements
