A leading technology company in Oslo is seeking an experienced software engineer to work on Vulkan driver development. You will join a collaborative team responsible for enhancing driver functionality and providing feedback on Vulkan standards. The role offers a friendly work environment, flexible hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including private medical insurance and generous leave policies.
Does graphics programming catch your attention? Are you interested in low-level software engineering? When you discover a bug, does it feel more like a puzzle rather than an annoyance? Great! You are in the right place, keep reading! We are looking for a software engineer excited about the chance to work on Arm's Mali GPU Vulkan driver. We want someone with lots of enthusiasm and the desire to do some serious engineering. Our team focuses on the future of Vulkan. We work with the technology of future Vulkan specifications in the context of our GPU, performing investigations and developing the driver. We focus especially on the layers that interact with the Vulkan API.
As an Experienced Software Engineer, your goal is to add the required functionality to the driver to support new Vulkan features. This happens through a collaborative effort with other team members, where you will program, design and investigate. These early investigations are sometimes used as feedback to the Khronos Group, so you might be helping to improve the Vulkan standard. You will work on a team of around 10 people. Normally, we divide the tasks so each one can focus on one, but many times -when required- we arrange smaller, tight groups of 1-3 people for single tasks. This happens, for example, when dealing with bigger tasks.
You will be surrounded by incredible talent. We'll help you thrive in your career by giving you training, mentorship, support and space. There is a very friendly working environment where everyone is happy to help. We offer flexible working hours and hybrid work, so you can find the perfect work-life balance. Our benefits package in Norway includes private medical insurance, 30 working days of annual leave, one month paid sabbatical every 4-years, supplementary pension, and wellness benefits.
