Vår Energi is seeking experienced geoscientists to join our subsurface teams at one of our office locations. Successful candidates will be expected to work within multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrate a proven ability to add value by integrating key subsurface data to identify and characterise opportunities at the wellbore, reservoir, field, and regional scales.

Key responsibilities

As a senior contributor within multi-disciplinary teams, you will lead, perform, and deliver the geoscience components of integrated subsurface studies to inform and support key business decisions.

Assignments may include a combination of the following:

  • Integrating data and interpretations from a broad range of subsurface disciplines
  • Developing consistent stratigraphic frameworks and depositional models to explain and predict reservoir facies distribution and quality
  • Conducting seismic interpretation based on well-to-seismic ties, rock property analysis, and supported by seismic forward modelling
  • Constructing and populating reservoir models to support development and depletion planning, well placement, and the identification of drilling opportunities
  • Participating in internal and external peer reviews as required
  • Representing the organisation in licence meetings with external stakeholders, as needed
