Job summary

FreshStart UAE in Svalbard is seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level Waiter/Waitress to join our busy restaurant team. This is an excellent starting point for a career in hospitality.

You will greet and seat customers, take orders, serve meals and drinks, and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction. You’ll handle cash/card transactions and assist with setting up and cleaning tables while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required but some knowledge of the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude, be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
• Serve food and beverages to customers
• Check on customers throughout their dining experience
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to any requests or concerns
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
• Assist with setting up and cleaning tables as well as general restaurant maintenance
• Follow all health and safety regulations
