MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform and complete scheduled preventive maintenance jobs for biomedical systems following manufacturer instructions and checklists.

• Troubleshoot and repair breakdown jobs for biomedical systems following manufacturer instructions and checklists.
• Liaise with user department and vendors to ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs for biomedical system equipment under service contract are completed within required timeframe.
• Commission new biomedical equipment and ensure they function according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist user department on IT integration issues for biomedical equipment.
• Place and expedite parts orders for breakdown jobs.
• Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown jobs for team are completed on time.
• Liaise with user department, biomedical equipment vendors to minimize impact on user operations.
• Assist user department on biomedical equipment inventory.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends on biomedical equipment for user department.
• Participate and provide technical inputs from BME department perspective in projects, meetings, discussions with various user departments.
• Liaise with users and purchasing department on requirements and drafting technical specifications for procurement of new biomedical equipment.
• Participate and provide technical inputs from BME department perspective in evaluation and procurement of biomedical equipment.
• Provide support and technical decision guidance to technical officers on communication skill, issue resolution and customer services.
• Attend technical training on biomedical equipment arranged by department.
• Knowledge in IT, Cybersecurity and EMR integration related matters for biomedical equipment.

GENERAL

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

Engineering Degree + 5 years working experience

EXPERIENCE

• Must be motivated and independent person to work on maintenance matters and projects.
• Must be able to understand the concept on clinical engineering principles.
• Must possess technical knowledge to handle complex technical problems.
• Preference would be given for experience in a Hospital or Healthcare industry.
• Knowledge in IT integration for biomedical system.
• Knowledge in drafting technical specification for biomedical system (Preferred).
• Knowledge in evaluation of biomedical system (Preferred).
