Job summary

Volve seeks an AI Engineer to own features end to end, from AI backend to the frontend. You will build robust AI pipelines, connect Claude Code with a React/TypeScript frontend, and deliver production-ready features with minimal handoff.

You will collaborate with designers and product, work with Python backends, and implement knowledge graph components while maintaining code quality with rigorous tests; the role emphasizes ownership and fast iteration in a cutting-edge AI-driven product.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience in a data-driven or AI-focused environment
• Experience with NLP techniques; Knowledge Graphs are a strong plus
• Working familiarity with React and TypeScript - enough to use and direct Claude Code confidently
• Comfort reading Figma designs and translating them into implementation specs for AI tooling
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (we use GCP)
• Experience writing robust unit and integration tests
• A bias toward ownership - you'd rather close the loop yourself than wait for someone else

Responsibilities

• Build and Own AI Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain AI pipelines that process large-scale unstructured data - the core of what Volve does.
• Ship Full Features End to End: Use Claude Code and Figma designs to implement frontend functionality yourself, owning the full loop from AI backend to working web feature.
• Own the Web AI Connection: Architect and maintain the integration layer between the AI backend and the React/TypeScript frontend. This is where your ownership is most critical.
• Design Scalable Python Backends: Write modular, efficient, and maintainable Python following best practices - built for reliability and long-term scale.
• Implement Knowledge Graph Systems: Contribute to the development of knowledge graph components for organising and relating project-critical data.
• Maintain Code Quality: Apply rigorous testing, unit, integration, and performance, to keep the system reliable and fast.
