Job summary

KRUSH TECH AS is seeking an experienced R&D Embedded Software Engineer to build and maintain the embedded software platform behind next-generation communication systems. The role covers embedded Linux, kernel development, FPGA integration, networking, and automated development infrastructure to tackle challenging system-level problems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, hardware and R&D, influencing technology direction and development processes.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in embedded software and low-level systems.
Experience with embedded Linux distributions (Buildroot, Yocto).
Experience Linux kernel and driver development is required.

Responsibilities

Integrate external components, libraries, drivers and device-tree elements into the internal embedded platform.
Develop and maintain Linux kernel and user-space drivers.
Support integration of FPGA-based processing into embedded systems.
Configure, build and maintain embedded Linux systems.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated image building, testing and deployment to target devices.
Work with Linux networking and system-level integration.
Investigate and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
Use debugging tools such as GDB and JTAG.
Contribute to unit testing and automated test frameworks.
Configure, compile and maintain Linux kernels.
Contribute to system-level technical documentation.
Collaborate with software, hardware, FPGA and R&D engineers.
