Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Academy invites an enthusiastic Elementary Teacher (KG-6) to join our team. The successful candidate will plan and deliver Alberta curriculum-aligned lessons from an Islamic-centered perspective, foster a caring classroom community, and support student learning across grades KG to 6.

You will collaborate with parents and staff, participate in professional development, and contribute to school culture by modeling integrity and spiritual growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (Interim or Permanent).
• Bachelor of Education from a recognized institution.
• Inclusive, Islamic-values-based learning environment.
• Strong classroom management and student wellbeing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth.
• Collaborates with parents and administration.
• Integrates Islamic principles into daily teaching and school culture.
• Participate in staff meetings, PD and extracurriculars.
• Criminal record check including vulnerable sector search.
• Familiar with Alberta curriculum; inspire academically and spiritually.
