Job summary

Ashtead Technology, Inc. is seeking a Workshop Technician with an electrical background to support testing, commissioning, maintenance and mobilisation of equipment in Stavanger.

The role focuses on diagnosing faults, conducting FATs, and ensuring safe workshop practices. The ideal candidate will have an electrical qualification and hands-on workshop experience, with knowledge of winches, hydraulic power units and hydraulic/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold an electrical qualification and have hands-on workshop experience.
• Proven ability to fault-find on electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with winches, hydraulic power units and associated testing processes.
• Strong practical skills with tools, machinery and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Test and spool all electrical and hydraulic winches.
• Test and set up diesel and electrical power packs.
• Lead and complete FAT, including client demonstrations.
