Job summary

Ikm Gruppen AS in Stavanger, Norway, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and verify electrical installations and to act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE). The role requires knowledge of offshore standards and heat trace design per P&IDs, with a focus on quality and safety.

The assignment runs from November 2026 to December 2027 and demands at least 5 years of offshore electrical experience, strong teamwork, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience on modification projects, preferably offshore.
• Knowledge of NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC standards.
• Experience with offshore operator software and technical requirements.
• Strong multidisciplinary, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid FSE certificate for high/low voltage with first aid.
• Valid basic Ex course certificate.
• Valid offshore health certificate and HUET.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical design standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
• Experience with technical requirements and software used by offshore operators.
• Strong multidisciplinary understanding and a cooperative, solution-oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Valid FSE (Electrical Safety Regulations) certificate for high and low voltage with first aid.
• Valid basic Ex course certificate.
• Valid offshore health certificate and helicopter underwater escape training (HUET).
