Job summary

Head Energy Group seeks Electrical Engineers for data centre project engagements across Norway. You will oversee electrical installations, QA/QC, and commissioning, coordinating with mechanical, cooling, BMS and fire protection teams to ensure successful handovers.

Candidates should have documented data centre experience, strong electrical distribution knowledge, and the ability to interpret drawings and specs. English fluency is required; project rotations apply.

Qualifications

• Documentation of electrical experience in data centre projects is mandatory.
• Experience in follow-up of electrical installations, QA/QC, supervision or commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and quality of electrical systems through construction, testing and handover.
• Follow up power distribution systems including switchgear, UPS, batteries and cabling.
• Review drawings, single-line diagrams, specs and BIM models.
• Verify installation quality, earthing, bonding and inspection records.
• Monitor ITPs, FAT/SAT and functional testing.
• Coordinate interfaces with mechanical, cooling, automation/BMS and fire protection.
• Address non-conformances and progress against project requirements.
• Support energisation, commissioning and handover activities.
• Ensure test records and as-built drawings are complete.

Job description

We are looking for Electrical Engineers- Data Centre Projects Pnr:6001778

Head Energy is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers for project engagements on technically demanding data centre developments in Norway.

• We are looking for professionals who can follow up electrical installations, coordinate contractors and support quality assurance, testing, commissioning and handover. Responsibilities will reflect each candidate’s background in critical power or general electrical systems.
• MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Documented experience from data centre projects.
• Applications are welcome from across Norway.
• Rotation according to Project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation and quality of electrical systems throughout construction, testing and final handover.
• Follow up critical and general power distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, generators, ATS/STS, busbar, PDUs, earthing and cabling, where relevant.
• Review drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, BIM models, method statements and supplier documentation.
• Verify installation quality, cable routing, electrical protection, identification, earthing, bonding and inspection records.
• Monitor inspection and test plans (ITPs), FAT/SAT activities, functional testing and documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors and interfaces with mechanical, cooling, automation/BMS and fire protection teams.
• Follow up non-conformances, punch items, remedial actions and progress against project requirements.
• Support energisation, commissioning, redundancy verification, integrated systems testing and handover.
• Ensure that test records, as-built drawings and final turnover documentation are complete.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree, technical college qualification or equivalent documented electrical experience.
• Documented experience from data centre projects is required
• Experience in electrical installation follow-up, QA/QC, supervision, technical coordination or commissioning.
• Understanding of critical power systems, electrical distribution and redundancy concepts is highly relevant.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, test procedures and project specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable Norwegian and international electrical standards is an advantage.
• Experience as Electrical Engineer, Electrical Supervisor, Package Engineer/Manager, QA/QC Engineer or Commissioning Engineer is relevant.

• Confident communicator with a strong focus on safety, quality and collaboration.

Language requirements

• Fluent written and spoken English is required, including the ability to read and understand technical documentation.
