Job description

Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Electrical / Heat Trace Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Calculate, select, and oversee heat trace cable design
• Design and follow up on heat trace requirements per P&IDs and project solutions
• Input, update and maintain heat trace engineering register
• Participate in inter‑disciplinary meetings and coordinate between fabrication and engineering teams
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure compliant, reliable heat tracing solutions

Your experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or Technical College combined with minimum 12 years’ relevant experience with onshore and offshore facilities
• Ex course (to be renewed every 5 years) If candidate has no EX‑certificate, then the course must be taken as soon as possible after starting work.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the design and calculations of electrical heat‑trace systems for offshore projects.
• Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC
• Familiar with Aveva E3D and NavisWorks
• Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English – both orally and in writing
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
• A natural team player, but possess the ability to work independently
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
• Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others

Requires certificates:

• EX – Grunnleggende EX kurs. 6‑8 timer online, eller 22,5 i klasserom
• FSE – med førstehjelp

Job Specifications:
