Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking experienced Electrical Commissioning Technicians to support the commissioning of a major hyperscale data centre in Northern Norway. You will join an established team focused on Level 1 to 3 commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure, power distribution, UPS, generators and related equipment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on commissioning experience in data centres, strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, and proficiency with commissioning documentation and BMS

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering L1-L3 electrical commissioning on data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators and protection systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and commissioning procedures; experience with inspections and testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out L1-L3 electrical commissioning activities per approved plans and procedures.
• Review FAT docs, electrical drawings, submittals and commissioning requirements (L1).
• Perform inspections, walkdowns, equipment verification and checklists (L2).
• Support start-up, pre‑functional checks and functional testing (L3).
• Test LV/MV switchgear, distribution boards, transformers and protection systems.
• Assist with generator, UPS, ATS commissioning and power transfer verification.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain records.
