Job description

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Discipline Lead -- Scaffolding Methods for an exciting project at Stord.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

Act as the main point of contact for the discipline, both internally and externally, for each project.

Establish and ensure that approved methods are followed throughout all project phases.

Coordinate effectively and ensure high-quality technical output for all method engineering activities within the method scope.

Ensure discipline deliverables are issued on time and meet the required quality standards.

Lead the discipline within the project, including personnel management, progress reporting, and results delivery.

Manage detailed schedules for the discipline and ensure alignment with the project’s governing network schedules.

Take overall responsibility for discipline work processes and ensure the team works accordingly.

Ensure the discipline’s scope of work is clearly defined and continuously integrated into network and detailed schedules.

Delegate tasks within the group as needed.

Ensure construction-friendly and HSSE-compliant design is implemented in design and work preparation.

Report progress in accordance with applicable schedules.

Take overall responsibility for the discipline’s method statement within the project.

Organize group meetings and keep team members professionally updated.

At project start, provide lessons learned and prepare experience reports.

Actively contribute to the continuous development of departmental work processes and updates to governing documents.

Drive efficiency initiatives and propose improvement measures.

We think you should have:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s or technical degree (relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education).

Solid knowledge of work processes within the discipline you will lead.

At least 2 years of experience with EPC processes in Topside and Facilities or Renewable segments.

Proficiency in the Office 365 package.

Experience with method systems such as E3D and Navisworks.

Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
