Job summary

CoinShares is modernising its data and AI capabilities. We are seeking a Data Engineer to own design and delivery of data pipelines and services that support finance automation, reporting, operations, trading, and public data offerings.

The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, requiring deep Python, Airflow, AWS and SQL/Postgres expertise. You will translate business requirements into production systems, collaborating with finance, operations and product stakeholders to shape scope and

Qualifications

Proficient Python for building production data pipelines and backend services.
Strong SQL skills with Postgres experience and performance tuning.
Experience with Airflow (or similar orchestrator)
Hands-on AWS experience (S3, IAM, Aurora/RDS, Lambda or equivalent).
Ability to own delivery: scope ambiguous requirements and ship without close supervision.
Familiarity with AI tooling in development workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, build and own end-to-end ETL/ELT flows from APIs, SaaS platforms, file feeds, and internal systems.
Build and maintain internal and external APIs delivering data to internal systems and client-facing applications.
Develop analytics-ready datasets and domain-oriented schemas for reporting and automation.
Own delivery with stakeholders across finance, operations, product and trading; ship iteratively and land outcomes.
