Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to deliver on-site technical support at local data center facilities in Drammen, Norway. You will perform hands-on maintenance, hardware swaps, and routine rack work as part of a global data center operations team.

The role requires experience with data center infrastructure, server hardware knowledge, and strong English communication. Flexible on-call availability is expected to support urgent requests and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure.
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment.
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide Remote Hands & Smart Hands support (cabling, power cycling, hardware swaps).
• Assist with server rack installation and decommissioning.
• Manage cross-connects and patch panels.
• Troubleshoot hardware and perform diagnostics.
• Conduct visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Coordinate escort and access for client visits.
• Support emergency responses and on-call requests.
