Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to deliver on-site technical support at our Forus facilities. You will perform Remote Hands tasks, assist with server rack installations, and ensure uptime in a fast-paced global data center environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, knowledge of server hardware and networking, and the ability to lift 25 kg+. Applicants should be based near Stavanger and available for weekend or holiday on-call requests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure.
• Knowledge of server hardware, networking, and cabling standards.
• Reliable transportation and proximity to local data centers.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift 25kg+ equipment.
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays for urgent requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Remote Hands and Smart Hands support.
• Install and decommission server racks.
• Manage cross-connects and patch panels.
• Troubleshoot hardware and diagnose issues.
• Conduct visual inspections and inventory audits.
• Escort and coordinate access for client visits.
• Respond to emergencies and be on-call.
