Job summary

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent; 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Ability to present information to internal departments, clients, management and colleagues.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with processes, procedures, and laws.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Follow safety processes and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
• Complete required training to ensure successful completion of responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems under supervision.
