Job summary

Bulk is hiring a Physical Security Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve physical security across its data center sites in Norway and beyond. You will manage access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and security system integration, coordinating with operations, IT and vendors to keep facilities secure and compliant.

You will lead maintenance, testing, documentation, and project work from concept through handover, ensuring risk-based decisions and rapid incident response.

Qualifications

• Technical education or equivalent experience in physical security, ICT, or similar fields
• Documented experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, networking, and system integration
• Project coordination or project management experience
• Fluent written and spoken English; Nordic language skills are an advantage
• Knowledge of EN 50600, ISO 22237 and ISO management systems is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Manage technical security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, intercoms, perimeter detection, key management, and visitor and badging systems
• Ensure physical security systems are maintained, tested, documented, and operated in accordance with company standards, site requirements, and compliance obligations
• Monitor the health, availability, and performance of physical security systems, coordinating corrective actions for faults, alarms, and service interruptions
• Support access control configuration, camera coverage reviews, alarm testing, system commissioning and handover from project to operations
• Lead or contribute to physical security system projects from requirement definition through design review, implementation, testing and operational handover
• Participate in design reviews for new data center builds, expansions and retrofit projects to ensure physical security requirements are embedded early
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors, site teams and service providers
• Investigate recurring technical issues and drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and lessons learned
• Provide technical direction and guidance to vendors, contractors and security service providers during projects, maintenance and incident resolution
