Job summary

IKM Consultants AS in Stord, Norway, seeks a System Development Engineer to oversee cyber security activities across systems, lead integration, and supervise commissioning and handover to operations. The role requires experience with IT/OT systems, and knowledge of IEC 62443 and DNV-RP-G108.

Offshore rotation is expected, with English and Norwegian language proficiency. The assignment runs from September 2026 to September 2027, with a daytime schedule transitioning to offshore rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience with commissioning, project completion, and handover to operations.
• Ability to ensure compliance with internal and governmental cyber security requirements.
• Experience with IT and OT systems in a project environment.

System Development Engineer

The Commissioning Cyber Security System integration is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Cyber Security activities across systems related to the delivery and integration of the Project.

Cyber Security System integration is also responsible for discipline input to systems connected to and controlled by to all assets in the Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of Cyber Security activities across various systems.
• Ensure the planning, preparation, and execution of commissioning for designated systems.
• Manage the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the operations team.
• Lead system integration for Cyber Security, ensuring overall system integrity and functionality.
• Review technical documents to ensure consistent implementation of cyber security measures.
• Contribute to solving technical challenges and drive multi-disciplinary technical activities.
• Ensure that cyber security requirements are incorporated into procurement processes and packages.
• Support the integration of the project plan, risk management, and quality assurance processes.

Required expertise

• Proven experience in Cyber Security, with a focus on system integration for SAS & Telecommunication systems.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards such as IEC 62443 and DNV-RP-G108.
• Experience with commissioning, project completion, and handover to operations.
• Ability to ensure compliance with internal and governmental cyber security requirements.
• Experience with both IT and OT systems in a project environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to plan, organize, and work independently.
• Willingness and ability to work offshore as required.

Location: Stord, Norway (with required offshore work)

Work schedule: The assignment begins with a standard daytime schedule, transitioning to a 2/3 rotation, followed by a 2/4 offshore rotation.

Duration: This is a temporary assignment from September 2026 to September 2027.
