Qualifications

  • Valid licenses and certifications as per STCW 95 required.
  • Good knowledge of maritime rules and regulations.

Required qualifications and competences
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the capacity of Chief Officer, Safety Manager or other relevant experience from the Cruise Industry
  • Valid class 1 Masters license and certificates according to STCW 95 as amended
  • Good knowledge about maritime rules and regulations (SOLAS, STCW, MARPOL, MLC)
  • Great leadership skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Fluent command in English
  • Great interpersonal skills and good team leading ability
  • Good references
  • As part of our hiring process, candidates will undergo standard pre-employment checks, including medical and drug/alcohol testing
Beneficial experiences
  • Experience from expedition cruise and vessels operating in Artic waters
  • Experience from new built and/or site team or project work
  • Experience in sailing under NIS flag
  • Fluent command in a Scandinavian language
