Job summary

Twoja Norwegia in Bergen is seeking a dedicated dishwasher/kitchen assistant to join a busy team. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly by cleaning dishes, loading dishwashers, and assisting staff during peak hours.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the availability by cleaning of clean dishes, pots, pans, kitchen equipment and cutlery.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Cleaning floors in kitchen and appointed areas.
• Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
• Unloading and storing deliveries if needed.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, especially during spills.
• Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Supporting other restaurant staff by assisting with other tasks.
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders to Head chef when necessary
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any issues
