Job summary

BrightPath Engineering in Svalbard is seeking an experienced tiler for a contract position to install and repair tile surfaces on floors, walls and countertops for diverse client sites across the archipelago, including challenging cold-weather conditions.

The role demands precise cutting, blueprint reading and strict adherence to safety standards; visa assistance and flight tickets are provided, but accommodation is not included, offering a unique short-term opportunity in a remote, high-demand

Qualifications

As a tiler in Svalbard you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tile surfaces including floors walls and countertops You will work on a contract basis providing your tiling services to clients in Svalbard This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced tiler who is looking for a short-term job with the potential for ongoing contracts

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the number of tiles needed
• Cut and shape tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight spaces
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and leveling them
• Mix and apply adhesives to secure tiles in place
• Install tile using various techniques such as mosaics patterns or borders
• Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a tiler with at least 2 years of experience in the field
• Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
• Knowledge of different tile types patterns and installation techniques
• Strong attention to detail and precision when cutting and laying tiles
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to work on your feet for long periods of time
• Good communication skills to interact with clients contractors and other team members

Salary

As a contract tiler in Svalbard you will receive a salary of 1400$ per month This amount may vary depending on your level of experience
