Job summary

BrightPath Engineering in Svalbard is seeking an experienced tiler for a contract position to install and repair tile surfaces on floors, walls and countertops for diverse client sites across the archipelago, including challenging cold-weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of tiling experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tile types, patterns, and installation techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Good communication with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate tiles needed.
• Cut and shape tiles to fit obstacles and tight spaces.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and leveling them.
• Mix and apply adhesives to secure tiles.
• Install tile using mosaics, patterns, or borders.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles and ensure safety standards.
