ABOUT THE ROLE

ArbeidMatch is sourcing construction workers (handyman) on behalf of a verified Norwegian staffing partner with active construction clients in Bergen. The employer is looking for reliable and motivated workers for a long term position, not a temporary or seasonal assignment.

MAIN DUTIES

• Assisting with various physical construction tasks on site
• Supporting project needs
• Handling, moving and organizing building materials on site
• Following the foreman's daily plan and instructions
• Using standard construction hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
• Complying with Norwegian site safety regulations and procedures at all times

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year of RECENT experience on construction sites as a carpenter (Tømrer)
• D-number (required)
• Own accommodation in Bergen or immediate surroundings
• Communicative English, sufficient to understand instructions and safety rules on site
• Ability to use standard construction hand tools and power tools
• Physically fit, reliable and punctual
• EU / EEA citizenship
• Nice to have: previous experience in Norway, basic Norwegian language skills.

WHAT THE NORWEGIAN EMPLOYER OFFERS

• Salary: 249 NOK per hour
• Working hours: up to 48 hours per week with possibility of overtime
• Overtime compensation according to Norwegian regulations and tariffavtale
• Holiday pay (feriepenger) according to Norwegian rules (Ferieloven)
• Occupational injury insurance (yrkesskadeforsikring) and occupational pension (OTP) as required by law
• Work clothes provided by the employer

TRAVEL AND RELOCATION

International transport is not covered. Candidates are expected to arrange and cover their own travel to Bergen.
