Job summary

A prominent engineering company is seeking a Commissioning Telecom Engineer for its Stord location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing Telecom Systems and supervising commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating communication among operations and contractors. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and familiarity with relevant document management systems. The position involves both onshore and offshore work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Telecom Systems.
• Familiarity with Project Completions System (PIMS) and document management.
• Valid Ex competence documentation with classroom courses required.

Responsibilities

Commissioning Telecom Engineer

Contract period: 08.12.2025 - 01.09.2027

Location: Stavanger, Stord

Main tasks

• Responsible for dedicated Telecom Systems, providing supervision, direction, and guidance with regards to:
• Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm System Telecom Lead
• Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/drawings in collaboration with Telecom Lead
• Knowledge of reading/understanding drawings, functional specifications / procedures.
• Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC Hand-Over Process
• Plan and facilitate for check-out/execution of static commissioning
• Plan and facilitate for Dynamic Commissioning activities
• Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities
• According to good Alliance practice, ensure good communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers
• Daily reporting to the Commissioning Telecom Lead regarding ongoing Commissioning activities
• Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC Hand-over according to the System Lead's instructions
• Contribute and advice related to Telecom input to overall Completion strategy and planning
• Manage related ATS and other resources providing services and supplying materials or equipment for Telecom Systems Commissioning
• Provide guidance and direction to the Telecom Commissioning Team, contributing in develop and review of relevant commissioning procedures
• This position is fully mobile with base location onshore yard Stavanger and Stord, and at later stage Offshore
