Assignment Description
The Commissioning System Responsible Crane & Lifting Equipment is responsible for planning, execution and supervision of the Completion & Commissioning activities, as well as designated platform provided systems.
Position Purpose
- System responsible for ensuring planning, preparation and execution of commissioning for the Cranes and related platform provided systems in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to Project Completion Strategy and commissioning plans and ensure they meet all client’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance
- Ensure a safe and efficient handover of PWP Cranes and lifting equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of Commissioning activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure sufficient presence at Crane fabrication sites during FAT, testing and inspection.
- Based on supplier procedures, develop Crane & lifting systems testing strategies, minimizing testing at Yard and Offshore, as well as ensuring minimal risk for findings in Commissioning phase.
- System ownership to the projects crane and lifting systems, execution total ownership to planning of testing and verification activities in project Commissioning phase.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the Commissioning Team, the Commissioning System Responsible Crane & Lifting Equipment will include supervision, direction and guidance with regards to:
- Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
- Provide engineering input to align with Commissioning testing strategy
- Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
- Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
- Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
- Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
- Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
- Plan and call off Crane ATS as and when required Onshore & Offshore.
- Manage ATS personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
- Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
- Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve client’s expectations.
- Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
- Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operations.
Qualifications
- BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Experience from Fully Electrical Cranes is of great benefit.
