Job summary

Sperton Norway AS is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer SEIT for a long-term assignment in Stavanger. You will contribute to commissioning activities across the project, with emphasis on planning, documentation, scope definition, and coordination with vendors and offshore teams.

Ideal candidates have a background in electrical, instrumentation and/or automation engineering, offshore certification, and a proven track record delivering in the oil & gas sector.

Qualifications

• Fagbrev or Bachelor's in a relevant technical field.
• Background in electrical, instrumentation and/or automation engineering.
• Experience with MC and commissioning in M&M and MOD projects.
• Offshore certificate and offshore experience preferred.
• Good communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain boundary drawings for commissioning activities.
• Develop clear and practical commissioning procedures.
• Define the relevant commissioning scope in PCS.
• Prepare job cards and handover documentation.
• Support FAT preparation and participate in FAT activities at vendor locations.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and participate in relevant meetings when required.
• Contribute to project planning and schedule updates.

We are looking for a structured professional with a background in electrical, instrumentation and/or automation engineering, combined with experience from MC and commissioning activities within M&M and MOD projects.

About The Role

In this role, you will contribute to commissioning activities throughout the project, with a focus on planning, documentation, scope definition and coordination with vendors and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain boundary drawings for commissioning activities
• Develop clear and practical commissioning procedures
• Define the relevant commissioning scope in PCS
• Prepare job cards and handover documentation
• Support FAT preparation and participate in FAT activities at vendor locations
• Coordinate with offshore teams and participate in relevant meetings when required

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Fagbrev or a Bachelor’s degree within a relevant technical field
• A professional background in electrical, instrumentation and/or automation engineering
• Strong knowledge of SCD, C&E and block hierarchy
• Experience with MC and commissioning in M&M and MOD projects
• An offshore certificate
• Offshore experience, which is strongly preferred
• A proven track record of engineering delivery within the oil & gas industry
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
• A proactive mindset towards improving ways of working and developing professionally
• An interest in sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues’ development
