Job summary

Omny, a security-digital twin company based in Norway, seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to own cloud infrastructure and automation. You will design and manage GCP resources, implement IaC with Terraform, and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

You will monitor performance, respond to incidents, and collaborate with software teams to enable reliable deployments. A strong focus on security, IAM, and scalable architectures is essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code, module design, state management, and testing.
• Deep knowledge of compute, networking, IAM, storage, and managed services.
• Bash and POSIX shell scripting proficiency.
• Experience coding for automation, tooling, and testing.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, DNS).
• Strong security awareness, IAM best practices, least-privilege, secrets management.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including module development and state management.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support reliable and automated deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, availability, and cloud resource usage.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to improve system reliability.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to support application deployments and infrastructure requirements.
• Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and technologies to improve the platform and engineering workflows.
