Job summary

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, CA is seeking a Clinical Registered Nurse to independently apply the nursing process for ED patients, triage and discharge as needed, and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Current CA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and pediatric emergency education are required or strongly preferred.

Preferred BSN with ASN required; 1 year acute hospital experience is desired.

Qualifications

• California RN license current
• Certification by appropriate governing body desirable (AACN, ANCC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider cards
• BRN pediatric emergency education: 14 hours every 4 years or Pediatric Emergency Course (2 days) preferred
• Current MAB certification

Responsibilities

• Independently use the nursing process to care for a group of patients per HMNMH policies and regulatory requirements
• Triage, discharge, and care for patients in the Emergency Department
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborate with the care team
