Job summary

Shapemaker is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead engineering, set the technical direction, and build the product hands-on in Oslo. You will manage an international team of software and civil engineers and drive product strategy while staying close to customers and sales opportunities.

You will own architecture, guide the tech stack (React, Python, Go, PostgreSQL) and work on a platform used for design optimization of telecom towers. This on-site role includes equity and autonomy.

• Experience leading technology teams across countries and markets.
• Strong product mindset with ability to align tech strategy with business goals.
• Ability to engage with customers and sales to scope technical opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering strategy and architecture.
• Lead our engineering team, including remote members.
• Work hands-on in the codebase: build product, fix bugs, help users.
• Shape engineering processes to deliver quickly while maintaining reliability.
• Lead the engineering side of sales: technical scoping and integrations.
