Job summary

Freetrade is seeking a junior to join our Brokerage Operations team in London. You’ll support day-to-day trading processes, reporting, and settlements, gaining exposure across the full trade lifecycle while collaborating with Trading, Settlements, Transfers and Tax.

You’ll learn automation and process improvements using Google Sheets, Apps Script, SQL, Zapier, and AI tools, with hands-on mentorship and a clear path to grow into a specialist role within a fast-paced, equity-focused fintech.

• Interest in the brokerage environment and eagerness to build deep expertise.
• Desire to stay current with market trends and regulatory changes.
• Strong interest in process improvement and automation to optimise workflows.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; able to work independently while collaborating with others.

Responsibilities

• Process and settle trades accurately and on time.
• Manage reconciliations, reporting and exception handling across the trade lifecycle.
• Support transaction reporting and fails management processes.
• Contribute to best-execution analysis.
• Identify and help implement process improvements and automations (spreadsheets, scripts, Apps Script, Zapier, AI tools).
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal controls across daily operations.
• Work with technical specialists and engineering teams to scope and build automation solutions.
• Support ad hoc projects across Settlements, Transfers, Payments, Corporate Actions and Tax as needed.
