Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring for a pastry production role. Produces pastry products according to orders or as needed for display, maintains pastry stock levels and product quality, and greets, engages, and serves guests with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.

The position requires operating commercial baking equipment, measuring ingredients, and ensuring accurate packaging and labeling while upholding food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Must be 18 years of age to operate and clean motorized equipment.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
• One or more years of cooking related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Food handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ovens, mixers, dough proofers and other commercial baking equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, shaping, and scoring them.
• Completes production list and special order requests; packaging and labeling products.
• Keeps stock of products/ingredients and works with inventory to order as needed.
• Maintains attractive product presentation and rotates products for quality and freshness.
• Maintains clean, safe working environment following company procedures.
• Cleans and prepares equipment and ensures proper operation (18+ to operate).
