Outlier is seeking contributors to shape the future of autonomous agents by building and evaluating OpenClaw agents. This is a freelance, remote opportunity allowing you to choose your schedule and be paid hourly for your work with weekly payments.

You'll work on production-grade AI systems, writing eval rubrics, debugging traces, and stress testing. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in backend engineering or AI automation and can handle multi-turn interactions in live environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend engineering, AI automation, or complex systems integration.
• Proven ability to build and maintain production-grade software with modular separation (e.g., distinct services for data parsing, logic processing, and reporting).
• Practical experience building for live, non-mocked environments and handling multi-turn system interactions.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to provide clear, high-density technical feedback on complex system behaviors.
