Job summary

A leading engineering company in Norway is seeking an experienced Automation/Senior Engineer to oversee Safety and Automation System activities. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in automation engineering, particularly in green field projects, and must possess strong communication skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects.
• Documented experience for follow-up of large multidiscipline packages.
• Thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.

Automation/Senior Engineer

Contract period: 15.12.2025 - 31.12.2027
Location: Asker

Main tasks:

• System Design, interface and follow up of Safety and Automation System activities as appointed by automation discipline lead.
• Specification of philosophies for Global SAS and automation design through topside SAS, Hull, Subsea and other large contractual interfaces.
• Input to, and review of, technical studies to be performed by vendors.
• Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers.
• Interface to other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or higher.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience from automation engineering in green field projects.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience from automation and SAS system design, incl. SAS/automation network solutions.
• Documented experience for follow-up of large multidiscipline packages.
• Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design and networks according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.
• FSE-course, valid through the engagement.
• Ex-course, valid through the engagement.
• Efficient communicator, who communicate well in English - both orally and in writing.
• Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in team.
• Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements.
