Job Description

OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University is seeking an Associate Professor in Accounting for a permanent, full-time position within the Finance and Accounting group at Oslo Business School. The school is located in downtown Oslo and offers programmes at Bachelor, Master and PhD level. The appointed candidate will contribute to teaching, research and the continued development of accounting and auditing activities at the school.

Main responsibilities include teaching and supervision at Bachelor, Master and PhD levels, developing high-quality education, conducting academic research, contributing to the accounting and auditing research group and study programmes, undertaking academic-administrative tasks, and communicating research findings to academic and wider audiences.

Applicants must hold a PhD in accounting or a related field, or be close to completing one, and have published in international journals or demonstrate potential for quality publications in accounting. Good teaching skills and written and oral proficiency in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish at minimum B2 level, as well as English, are required. Applicants without sufficient Scandinavian-language proficiency must acquire Norwegian at B2 level within three years. Educational competence is also required, with qualifying applicants allowed to obtain it within two years of employment.

• Published in international journals and/or documented potential for quality publications in accounting
• Good teaching skills
• Written and oral proficiency in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish at minimum B2 level
• Required educational competence in accordance with OsloMet's Guidelines for the assessment of educational competence
• Ability to obtain required educational qualifications within two years of employment if not already possessed
