Job summary

Equinor is seeking an Inspection and Corrosion Engineer at Mongstad to ensure safe, reliable operation of process equipment and piping. You will lead RBI assessments, monitor asset integrity, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and external partners to drive improvements and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in asset integrity or corrosion management.
• Knowledge of RBI, API/ASME standards; SAP is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage inspection programmes for process equipment and piping.
• Perform RBI assessments and update risk evaluations.
• Monitor equipment condition and support risk management.
• Review inspection reports and recommendations for quality.
• Identify corrosion mechanisms and propose mitigation measures.
• Plan and execute turnarounds, shutdowns and major maintenance.
