Job description

As an Architecture Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of architectural design and construction projects in Svalbard. Your main role is to lead a team of architects and designers ensuring the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of architects, designers, and contractors.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee the design process from concept to construction.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Review and approve design proposals.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.
• Evaluate project performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Experience in managing architectural projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience as an Architecture Manager is required; candidates without experience will not be considered.

This urgent position is located in Svalbard. Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Svalbard, but applicants from other countries are welcome to apply.
