Job summary

RWS invites you to join a Norwegian Nynorsk speech data collection project from home. As a contributor, you will record natural conversations and provide accurate metadata to support evaluation and development of next-gen AI technologies.

We're seeking native-level Norwegian Nynorsk speakers with strong English, attention to detail, and reliability. Prior recording or annotation experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

We are looking for AI Conversation Recording Contributors to join a Norwegian Nynorsk speech data collection project and help support the evaluation and development of the next generation of AI technologies.

Job Type: Freelance

Location: Work from home

Work Schedule: Flexible, task-based work (approximately 2–4 hours daily)

Project Duration: TBC

Start Date: Immediately

Rate: 26 USD/hour

Help Shape the Future of AI

This short project offers an opportunity to evaluate and improve speech recognition and conversational AI technologies by providing spontaneous speech collected from real-life situations.

How Your Recordings Will Be Used

The collected recordings, annotations, and related metadata will be used to evaluate the spontaneous speech capabilities of speech-enabled AI models. The compiled data may be reviewed for quality and incorporated into datasets used for research, development, testing, and improvement of AI systems.

What You’ll Do

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech in accordance with the project guidelines
• Participate in or capture speech from approved real-life situations, such as workplace conversations or casual one-on-one discussions
• Complete individual or two-person conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice or voice-text interactions with an AI or machine-based system
• Annotate collected speech data according to the instructions provided
• Provide the required information and metadata related to each recording

What We’re Looking For

• Native-level fluency in Norwegian Nynorsk
• Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target language through everyday use
• Advanced level of English to understand written instructions
• Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation projects is an advantage, but not required
• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions.

• Ability to access and use an online recording platform
